Microsoft has announced that Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) will no longer be actively developed. The service keeps working for now, but receives no new features. For IT teams that means the question is not if but when to move patch management to a future-proof foundation. Add to that what WSUS administrators have known for years – no third-party patching, database bloat, tedious cleanups and reporting that barely deserves the name.
✓Windows and third-party patching in one system – browsers, Java, Adobe & Co. are the most common attack vectors.
✓No server infrastructure of your own – no WSUS server, no SQL maintenance, no cleanup scripts.
✓Compliance reporting that shows at a glance which devices are missing patches.
✓Automation: patch windows, exceptions, escalations – without script tinkering.
✓GDPR compliance and EU hosting – decisive for cloud solutions in Europe.
✓Home office included – patch devices outside the corporate network, no VPN required.
