Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

Configuration Management Database records in ITIL context Configuration Items (CIs) and details about the important attributes and relationships between CIs in a central repository. Configuration Items are all the components of an information system (such as PCs, peripheral equipment, telephones, network components, servers, procedure instructions, IT services or software).

 
Exchange Server

Exchange Server is a messaging and collaborative software product developed by Microsoft. It major features consist of email, calendaring, contacts and tasks. Since Windows 2000 the Exchange Server is integrated in the Active Directory.
